Ukrainian comedian Vasyl Baidak forms an unexpected and lasting friendship with retiree Iryna Terekhova after joining a group of young people from Kyiv to help rebuild her home. Terekhova, a devout Orthodox Christian, lives in a farming village in the Chernihiv region. Her house was destroyed during the Russian occupation in March 2022. She recalls the traumatic period when she had to share her cellar with Russian soldiers who claimed they came to liberate her, but instead devastated her village.
